The Road to Ithaka, home HALEBRIGHT: The Road to Ithaka
Five Greek gods stand on sea rocks at dawn: Poseidon with a trident, Heracles in a lion skin, Athena with an owl, Artemis drawing a bow, Hermes running with winged sandals. A small ship and an island sit far out to sea.
Our story

Back Home Whole

If you're holding one of our cards, it came off our truck or from a family we've worked for.

01

Who we are

Halebright is an owner-run water-mitigation company in Houston. When water gets where it shouldn't, we find the source, find where it went, and dry the house.

Every job ends with the Halebright Record:

  • the source, as we found it
  • where the water went, mapped and measured
  • daily readings at the same points until the house is dry
  • a written reason for every machine we set
02

The name

Hale: healthy, whole (same root as heal). Bright: in full light, nothing hidden. Back Home Whole: dried, documented, and returned to the people who live there.

03

The seal

Halebright seal: a broken ring, the piece carried back on a brass thread.

A ring, broken once. The broken piece is carried back and set on a thread of brass.

04

Why cards

A water loss is a hard week, and kids live through it too. So every machine has a name: the dehumidifiers are the Heroes, the air movers are the winds and Muses, and the truck is the Argo. A child can keep the card for the machine that dried their kitchen.

The cards make a real game, HALEBRIGHT: The Road to Ithaka, built on the Odyssey.
